The name TLC is short for "Tender Lupus Care" which was the name of the first Lupus forum. It was started in 2001 by a good friend named Liz who was also a Lupus patient. She passed on shortly after the creation of the forum. There also was a dedication web site called TLC TOO, which was dedicated to all the good friends that we have lost to this disease.
For a while TLC was a popular place for Lupus patients. There was even get together of of members of this forum. The group of these people called themselves the "Circle of Friends". But after a time this group including myself slowly drifted apart. So I decided to try and bring back the group and any new friends by creating this forum called "TLC Forever". I hope it will be a success
